Key Milestones Overview

Time Line

Testing of OFPV Elements

2024-2025

Various tests on offshore floating PV elements, including slam test on trusses, reliability test of the modules, air-to-sea interaction on the structure, wind-inducted load on the system and power system model. In addition a deep analysis is conducted on the mooring lines and the structure.

Demonstration of the OFPV system

2026

Improvement of the OFPV design with implementation of sensors, electrical integration and autonomous cleaning and monitoring, follow by the actual constriction and installation of the device.

Environmental impact and monitoring

2026-2027

The project assesses the impact analysis, including key species in the North Sea and specific assessment through remote sensing. The circularity and life cycle assessment are conducted in parallel with performance monitoring.
